INITIATIVES
Bron Taylor has led a number of initiatives investigating nature-human relationships.
Dr. Taylor instigated and became director of a faculty initiative to create a program in Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
As Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Religion
and Nature, he orchestrated contributions from 520 contributors from around the world, and after its publication, developed the
Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, to continue the inquiry.

He also led scholars from more than two dozen countries in the formation of the International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, and was elected as its founding President, serving in that capacity from 2006-2009.
Professor Taylor also founded and serves as editor of the quarterly Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, which has been publishing quarterly since 2007.
